The London outpost of a NYC hotel arrives in London in 2021 (delayed by lockdown), located inside the historic, grade II-listed building known as The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station. The main restaurant sits inside a stunning three-storey, glass-ceilinged atrium, and there's also Side Hustle - NoMad's take on a British pub - a cocktail bar and a guests-only library bar. NYC chef Daniel Humm was originally linked with the project but is no longer mentioned on the website.

With its glass ceiling, foliage and large suspended pendant lights, this large atrium restaurant within the conversion of the former Bow Street Magistrates’ Court is one of London’s more atmospheric dining spaces. Hitherto it’s scored more as a romantic than a foodie destination, but a new refit and relaunch under its new name in mid 2025 looks to change all that with the introduction of a contemporary American surf, turn ’n’ cocktails spin.

It’s “great for breakfast (and lunch and dinner)”, with exec chef Ashley Abodeely putting her NY/LA spin on the best seafood, meat and vegetables Britain can produce. “This is a really special dinner out… if you can stomach the prices”, and while you’re there you must slip into the Side Hustle, a bar occupying the old Bow Street police station, where Abodeely indulges a taste for tacos she developed while working in LA. “Special mention to the cocktails and very professional and friendly waiters”.
