When All Roads lead to Brixton

A successful London supper club is to open its first permanent venue next week with the May 6 launch of All Roads in Brixton.

Chefs Malika Greeand Paschelle Brown have tested All Roads in a series of sold-out evenings over the past three years, assembling a distinctive menu which draws on their Caribbean heritage and British, European and Southern American influences.

The couple met working in the same restaurant more than 10 years ago, and have combined experience from both kitchens and front-of-house in a wide range of hospitality venues, include Soho House and hip Vietnamese spot Lai Rai in Peckham.

They say: “Food for us growing up was always about people. It was how we connected, celebrated, gifted, marked moments – whatever the reason. We want to bring this energy to our first restaurant and can’t wait to welcome our longstanding supperclub guests, new faces and the wider community to All Roads.”

The 35-cover restaurant with terrace on Atlantic Road has been designed to retain the communal atmosphere and relaxed energy of their supper club, with ‘approachable wines’, ‘playful cocktails’ and DJ sets across the weekend.

The All Roads menu features with starters like Butterbean whip with soy pecans, cherry peppers and cassava chips or Torched mackerel on toast with tomato jam; followed by small plates like Fried wings marinated in sweet black tea and herbs or Clams in a rich soy and tomato sauce finished with parmesan. Mains centre around low-and-slow cooking, with dishes such as oxtail and turkey or lamb neck, or Pork chops served with pimento peppercorn sauce and buttered apple with thyme, followed by a dessert list of seasonal cobblers, pies and house-made ice creams.
