Back under a new name…

The team behind the much-praised Silver Birch in Chiswick, west London, which closed down after five years in March, has reopened the site as an all-day neighbourhood spot called Brook & Green (pictured).

Owner Tim Price says the new project, which draws on Mediterranean, Asian and British influences, is “built for consistency and repeat use rather than occasion-only dining”.

Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Stoke Newington restaurant Bianca’s – originally a spin-off from highly rated Casa Fofo – is to be relaunched next week by two members of its team as Da Pino.

Chef Giuseppe Pepe says: “Despite the strong Italian influence, Da Pino is not a trattoria. My style of cooking takes quite an Asian approach to flavour, so the dishes will pack a punch.”
