The ground-floor restaurant at Soho House founder Nick Jones’s new-build luxury hotel St Clement opened formally this week, overlooking the Thames at Temple.
Café Clement offers an all-day Franco-Italian menu, from a kitchen run by ex-River Cafe chef Danny Bohan. It has a riverside terrace as well as garden seating.
Ahead of its opening to the general public, the restaurant scored an almost comically rave review last week from Giles Coren of The Times, who had been invited for a couple of pre-launch meals. Giles made it abundantly clear that he is a “mate” of Nick’s, and suggested Café Clement would “define the summer of 2026”.
St Clement’s second restaurant, Lunette, from former Polpetto and Sessions Arts Club chef Florence Knight, is scheduled to open on the top floor in September. There is also a late-night bar called Bobbi’s, which stays open until 3am.
