Live-fire restaurant group Temper is swerving away from the barbecue grill with its latest opening, a wine bar in Marylebone with the delightful name Temper Tantrums.
The new venture launches next Wednesday (30 September) in the former Be At One bar in Wimpole Street, just off Oxford Street, and is said to be inspired by the 1970s and 80s.
Temper Tantrums will open early for morning coffee and pastries, morphing into a wine bar serving Mediterranean-style dishes from lunchtime into the evenings, when there will be live music.
Temper was launched ten years ago by former Pitt Cue and Smokehouse chef Neil Rankin, and now has three branches in Soho, Covent Garden and the City. They have been noted in the Harden’s guide over the years for their sense of fun and theatre, although their food rating was down this year.
